Porcelain Necklace Green Glass Focal
My newest gentle, lightweight pendant necklace was designed from pure white Limoges Porcelain. This pendant reminds me of a “Pinch Pot” which is a simple form of hand-made pottery produced by “pinching” a ball of clay. The technique was used a lot in ancient times before many tools became available. The pinching method is a means to create pottery that can be ornamental or functional, and has been widely employed across cultures and times. In the middle of my “pinch pot” pendant, I placed a small piece of gorgeous green glass and then melted it in the kiln at 1220⁰C.
The pendant hangs from a really unique, coordinating green metal chain. The clasp and findings are made of an oxidized silver base metal for an organic and rustic look. The chain is about 23-1/2” (60 cm) long.
